Following a stellar year both locally and internationally for Lorde, the popular singer won six Tui awards at the 2014 Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.

Lorde took out the two biggest awards of the night, Mentos Album of the Year for Pure Heroine and Vodafone Single of the Year for Team. She also won awards for Best Female Solo Artist, The Edge Best Pop Album, Vodafone Highest Selling Single for 'Royals' and the International Achievement Award.

This caps off a massive 2014 for the North Shore teen, whose very long list of International Achievements included two Grammys, a Brit Award and a MTV Video Music Award, to sit in her kitchen alongside her APRA Silver Scroll Award, Taite Music Prize and last year's four Tui awards.

David Dallas, who opened the night with a performance of his single 'Runnin', took home Best Male Solo Artist and Best Urban/Hip Hop Album for his third release Falling Into Place.

Stan Walker proved to be the People's favourite, winning the two popularity awards of the night: Vodafone People's Choice and NZ On Air Radioplay for his song 'Bulletproof'.

Other winners at the awards ceremony held at Vector Arena included Broods, who capped off a hugely successful 2014 by winning Breakthrough Artist of the YearTiny Ruins, an act that has achieved popularity largely by word-of-mouth, who won Best Alternative Album for Brightly Painted One; Blacklistt, who won Best Rock Album for their self-titled debut; and The Naked and Famous who won the Tui for Steinlager Pure Best Group.

Popular opera group Sol3 Mio won the FOUR Highest Selling Album. The trio also won Best Pacific Album at a ceremony earlier in the year.

Tama Waipara won Best Roots Album for Fill Up the Silence; Opiuo's album Meraki saw him win the Best Electronica Album Tui; Best Maori Album went to Rob Ruha for his album Tiki Tapu; Best Gospel/Christian Album was won by Mosaic Music for You Surround and Best Classical Album went to Jack Body for Poems of Love and War. 

NZ On Air Best Music Video went to Campbell Hooper for his work on The Naked and Famous' Heart Like Ours.

The legendary Supergroove were awarded with the NZ Herald Legacy Award, and their achievements were recognised by a rousing tribute by "Supersistah Groove", aka Hollie SmithIva LamkumRia Hall and Tali.
